More and more and more companies are employing cheap labours a.k.a foreign workers and the saddening part is, companies supported by the government are maximising their usage of foreign workers.. Mentang-mentang la the government welcome what deemed as "foreign talent", all these companies go employ foreigners so they can pay much much lower wages to all these foreigners..
The point is, so many Singaporens are unemployed, why go employ all these Pinoys? Yea, they can speak English very well but I'm sure there are so much more locals who can speak better than them..
This is so like the Malay proverb:
Anak diriba diletakkan, kera di hutan disusui
Which literally means You put down your child whose sitting on your lap and you go feed milk to the baby monkey in the jungle (hahahaha!)
Which means, you let your own family die of famish but you go help outsiders to prosper..
Yea, it's true that some Singaporeans tend to be choosy when it comes to applying jobs but there are so many jobless Singaporeans who probably did not know that there are job vacancies in all these companies because why? Because:
1) You don't publicise the vacancies in your c/o, instead, you paid an agent to bring you "outside people" to come to Singapore to work for your c/o because you pay them lower than you pay the locals.
2) You terminated the employment of locals and "close shop" your c/o here to set up c/o in neighbouring countries to tend to local needs because why? Because instead of paying $1,500 to a Singaporean, you'd rather give RM1,500 to the Malaysians. Again why? To save money..
Don't all these companies realise that a standard degree in neighbouring countries only equal to a standard diploma in Singapore? And I even think that the diploma holders HERE are over qualified to enrol into neighbouring country(s) university(s)!!
This is so like being "racist" to your own countrymen..
I hate it when I call 100.. Why? The office is now based in Malacca and the people tending to the calls are so called Malaysian graduates, okay, I don't care whether they are graduates or only a SPM holder, but the thing is, they don't even work properly!! Many a time people I know called the 100 hotline to query for local numbers like the statutory boards and the likes and the person at the other end actually said that the number is not listed! How ridiculous.. So yea, the Singaporean is paying the Malaysians for nothing.. Nothing!!
Yea, you may say that I can get the number from the internet but what about all the makciks and aunties? What if they have no young people to help them get the numbers from the internet? And some people are more comfortable getting the numbers from the local phone directory hotline (only it's not done locally anymore).. And what if it is an emergency and you're outside and you don't know the phone number of say, KK hospital? Where can you turn to? The hotline right?
I don't mind having foreigners working alongside me as long as the number of foreigners in the company is like 1:8.. But to recruit several large batches of foreigners is totally ludicrous..
The government is lamenting on how more Singaporeans are migrating, then they should first stop this crap lar then the Singaporeans will stop migrating..
