The above are the makcik2's reactions upon knowing that I was from a madrasah. WTFH RIGHT?? And all I can do was to SMILE =) The part where a makcik was talking about my dress.. Labels: Miss singapore universe 08
Ouh, is this the madrasah girl? Can you speak Arabic? Aiya Assalamualaikum only? No use la you hahahaha!! Ouh look at her dress.. She's going to a party tonight. Madrasah girls nowadays know how to party. I shall show this to *********! Oy **********! Come look at this madrasah girl's dress, she's going to a party after this.. Maybe we can use this design for a jubah.. Wow, madrasah kids nowadays have their own concerts and parties ehk.. Da moden!! Oops, can't say anything cheeky/vulgar infront of her, she's a madrasah girl..
Shites.. It was just a damn bloody black sequin on the top first quarter of my short dress which was even 95% covered by my tudung!!
NO PEEPS,I'm not trying to show my bust, just showing the part where the sequin showed only a teeny weeny bit.. And it's black and because of the lighting, the sequins don't really show..
And the toot-iest part was, the makcik actually pulled up my tudung to show the people around us the sequinned part of my dress.. Even after Zah's mom told her "ape ni selak2 tudung anak dara orang" (What is this pulling a maiden's tudung?), she kept on pulling up my tudung and like what, touched my chest and I was like smiling trying to cover up my confuse-ness and my eyes were wandering about making sure that no guys were looking at us.. Like hey, I was trying to impress Dr Aris's son ok, and if he saw me like that, with a makcik holding up my tudung, what a turn off right? Hahahahaha!! (Kidding!!)
So damn kecoh..
What's wrong with them? I mean, it's already 2008 now and the Maarif Princesses already made it to the Arena so is it a Surprise that I can speak English, that I passed my O level English and that I chose to work there?
I still can't believe how "uneducated" and "un-informed" and "un-updated" this makcik2 are presuming that they are actually academically updated, career minded and driven kinda women who must keep themselves updated with the latest happenings..
This is so impossible considering that I know of Chinese people who know how educated and modern the Madrasah educated youngsters nowadays are apart from being religiously inclined and proficient.. Well if not all, a majority.

If you've read the New Paper today, you will come to the pages about the Miss Singapore Universe pageant 2008 and yea my aunty-to-be won 2nd a.k.a 1st runner up.. So unbelievable..
She is pretty and witty but of course there are many others who are prettier and wittier but these people never join the pageant don't know why..

And no, I'm showing her pictures not course I'm proud of her achievements, in fact, I'm feelingless hahaha.. I put up her pix cause coincidentally she's in the pageant and coincidentally, she won 2nd place.. I blog about this cause I wanna comment something about the pageant..
The Girls Are Getting Uglier.. In fact, this year's batch has the highest number of ugly girls and also the Ugliest girls..
If this continues, I'd rather Singapore cease the pageant and just send some hot model to represent Singapore, just like Australia did few years back and eventually emerged as the winner!!! After all in the real pageant, beauty comes first followed by brains, at least give Singapore some face lar alamak!! Singapore's never gonna win the international pageant so might as well send a bimbo rep right heheh..
