I know many people, ok if not many some people, are/were horrified of the fact that my friends and I wore tudung when we went swimming at siloso beach..
I know that many went 'for goodness sake you're inside the water!! you're swimming!!wear tudung for what?'
Yea yea..But what if I die whilst swimming? Can you go pay a visit to Mungkar and Nakir before I'm buried and tell them that tudung while swimming is unnecessary and please tell Allah not to punish me inside the kubur and pls don't throw me inside the Hellfire pretty pls?
If you're willing to do that.. Please..
Hell, I'll go swimming every week..
I'll even put on bikini..
How? Anyone up for the challenge?
Some people, no in this case, many people, have this mindset that we're allowed not to wear tudung while swimming.. Stupid.. I call that "bodoh sengaja tanak pakai tudung sebab malu"
I mean, why must you be ashamed to wear tudung while swimming in the sea? ceybah..
You should be proud!!
If you're ashamed to wear tudung while swimming, that means you're ashamed that you're a Muslim and that means you're ashamed you're practicing Allah's religion!
If you think it's unnecessary to wear tudung while swimming, that means you think it's unnecessary to be a Muslim and that means you think it's unnecessary to practice Allah's religion i.e. Islam!
Why? Scared people will tease you? Hell, I even prayed in the open during that sentosa outing with my gfs.. If got tent, of course la do it inside the tent, but got no tent, then can still pray what?
Ape nak malu?
Or scared guys will get turn off upon seeing you in a wet tudung?
Scared that hot lifeguard who smiled at you will ignore you upon seeing you wearing tudung jumping about, swimming around, splashing water everywhere inside the sea?
Hell.. It's his loss.. It's the guys' loss.. Not your's..
You know, some people even have this idea that Allah is only in Singapore.. That if she goes overseas, Allah remains in Singapore.. And that gives her the privelege to not put on tudung as long as she's outside Singapore.. And when she returns to Singapore, she quickly put on tudung back cos why? Allah is in Singapore..
Or maybe Allah gave her a stamped approval allowing her to not wear tudung outside Singapore..
Heh..

"Ko hantar surat arh pt Allah suro spare aku dari seksa kubur sebab tak kai tudung time mandi laut.. Pls pls?"
Let's look at it this way..
You're a civillian to the richest country in the whole wide world..
The king gives you everything you need or sometimes things you don't even need, he lavishes you, without asking for anything in return EXCEPT that you be loyal to him (eg don't run away to another country, or don't backstab the king etc) and heed his every rule.
But when you go visit say your distant cousin outside the country, you complain on how you don't quite feel like obeying your king's rules but only do so cause your king is very generous and you'd like to keep your 'waterface' in front of everyone and that means you're a hypocrite and....Ok let's not get into that Hikmah..

The moral of the story is..
Don't be ashamed to be a Muslim..
For real man..
Cos if the guys are ashamed of the way you are, ashamed of girls who wear tudung, then it's their loss, not yours.. In the Hereafter, you only help yourself cause it's not clear if a somebody might help you in the hereafter..
